Petrophysics
IFDC petrophysical services are either provided to customers as standalone studies or as part of full integrated studies. Our petrophysicists are frequently involved in exploration and production projects and have experience in a wide range of geological settings, including deepwater turbidites, tight formations, shale gas, and lithologies like clastics and carbonates. Whatever the situation, our experts construct reservoir models to gain a better understanding of the subsurface, leading to informed well placement, reserve estimation and production planning. Models are based on quantitative log evaluation, field measurements, seismic surveys and production history.
All essential available geological information (sedimentology, facies, burial history, diagenesis and mineralogy) and petrophysical information (wireline logs, mud-logs, LWD logs) are quality checked and integrated into the workflow, allowing our petrophysicists to provide you with the most accurate evaluations possible. The following topics are typically addressed:
- Quantitative log evaluation
- Permeability modeling
- Saturation Height Modeling
- Pressure data analysis
- Borehole Image Interpretation
- Operational support Petrophysics
