Geoscientist-Trainee
Employment Type:One-year Contract | Location: Lagos, Nigeria.
Status: One Year Contract to Permanent Employment

Profile of Trainee Geoscientist

Analyzing geological data and samples. Conducting geological seismic interpretation and making maps. Estimating the volume of oil and gas resources. Evaluating drilling sites for safety and feasibility. Collaborating with other professionals in the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities

This role encompasses many functions including:

  • Analyzing geological data and samples.

  • Conducting geological seismic interpretation and making maps.

  • Estimating the volume of oil and gas resources.

  • Evaluating drilling sites for safety and feasibility.

  • Collaborating with other professionals in the oil and gas industry.

Qualification
Minimum requirement is a bachelor’s degree in Geoscience.

  • A geoscience related degree, MSc or PhD level will be an added advantage.

  • 5 to 15 years first-hand experience.

  • The successful candidate will have demonstrated skills through first-hand projects delivery experience to include:

Requirement:

  • BSc. Engineering/BEng or B.Sc Geology/Geophysics.

  • NYSC completion with discharge certificate.

  • NYSC hands-on experience with Operating Oil and Gas company will be an added advantage.

  • Willing to learn.

  • 0- 1 Year Experience.

  • Female/Male.

  • Can work individually and with team.

Duration: One-year contract with the intention of a permanent contract afterwards.
Location: Lagos, Nigeria (Lekki Office)
